Drawlloween Day 8 - Zombie

With today's theme being Zombie, I was sure I will find the drawing interesting.
Oh yeah, and yes I did.

The more interesting part of this drawing was adding red ink to to the delapidated mouth and shirt which gave it a blood stain look.

The eyes were also disguised with red color where one of them was made to look blind.

This drawing was done with AutoDesk sketchbook application and I found my reference photo here. Below are my step:

The first step was to make my outline sketch

I usually start from left to right while shading but this time, I started from the right side

Then I worked on the mouth

The above was followed by shadings on the shirt. Cross hatching was virtually used for it

I actually wasn't satisfied so I decided to proceed in adding red color to it. I love the final result

Looks great (the little red color addition makes a big difference, looks cool)

I agree. Huge detail (and it's all scribbles) and diminished color gives this whole HD affect. Almost like Sin City.
