A Horse - Pen Drawing

20230406_130859.jpg

Here is my new art work. Using my favorite medium, I tried to depict a horse with hairs on its back head.

The work was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper using a combination of scribble and crossing hatching techniques. You can see my steps below:

All I can say is that you are very talented
I don't know how you will draw a horse and it will look exactly like it
Kudos!!

I think it is more of getting accurate proportions and understanding the light and shadow variations.
Thank you for your kind words and always appreciating my work.

You are very talented brother, handling the pen you give a lot of realism to your illustrations

Thank you!
To me, handling the pen is the easiest. It looks sweet and flexible 😊

There are quite a few horses around here. They trot down the street regularly. Some unattended. I can't tell what breed this would be, but it is pretty lifelike.

They just roam about by themselves? I believe someone owns them.

Yes. Horses are not wild, but the owners just let them roam.

There is no criteria bro. You just have to have passion for it. Just understand the procedures, principles and concepts...like perspective, shading patterns, light and shadow, color variations.
