Family Sarcophagidae

While in the plantation, I came across a truly unique sight: a pair of flies mating. I am not certain of the exact species, but I know this type of fly is extremely dangerous as it can carry various diseases. They are drawn to filthy places like trash cans, drains, and other unsanitary areas. In my opinion, this is an insect to be avoided at all costs—not because it bites or stings, but because it is a vector for several serious diseases. Like most flies, this one is relatively small, making it hard to spot; it moves incredibly fast and is hyper-sensitive to the slightest movement, making it difficult to even approach, let alone photograph. Fortunately, because the flies were mating, they paid little attention to my presence, allowing me to approach from the side and snap a picture. After successfully capturing an image with my mobile phone, I planned to take another shot using a macro lens. However, this proved very difficult because it required getting much closer; sure enough, as soon as I moved the macro lens toward them, the fly immediately flew away.
