What is coming next? πΉπ£π Wonderful Japan
When the peak of summer sets in in Japan in August, work-wise I fortunately don't have quite so much hustle and bustle and can sometimes even relax a little. This period lasts until the end of September and then, in October at the latest, it all starts again for me too and I'm quickly back to my usual daily routine. Due to the circumstances, everything was a bit different in the previous years and I was at home most of the time. But this year a lot of things seem to be the same as before. Well, only almost, because some things have changed, but I have actually gotten used to it quite well. At the end of the day, I'm very happy to be among people again, and not just to have to look at a screen all day. I still do that way too often and way too much anyway, but now I see a lot of faces again, on which I am fortunately able to make out a smile quite often.
Since we have already left the middle of October behind us, I am now back to a regular routine and I have almost become accustomed to my daily tours again. Summer also seems to be ages ago now and we are seriously considering getting the heater out these days and making the living room a little warmer. Actually it has only been a few weeks since we last used the air conditioning and had to wipe the sweat from our foreheads.
The time between sweating and freezing is unfortunately very short here in Japan and I wish that the really pleasant temperatures would last a little longer. But since almost all houses have quite thin walls, it soon gets just as warm or cold inside as it does outside. Winter is not close to being here yet and last week we had really wonderful weather, but this week I am already feeling quite chilly. But what to do? Complaining doesn't help at all in this case, so it's better to get out the warmer pants and jackets and in addition to also prepare a few more blankets for the night.
Actually, I had a lot of plans for this time of year and wanted to get out into nature a bit more often. But except for a few trips we didn't get outside as much as I had originally intended. I still have a little hope, even though the weather doesn't really look promising for the coming weekend. But there's always another next weekend, and I still keep my fingers crossed that my schedule and the good weather can come to an arrangement. I'm not giving up that quickly, November also wants to be lived and celebrated after all. And since October has almost two more weeks to offer, perhaps there will be something else to experience this month as well. When I think about it, I'm actually quite optimistic...
