Autumn or winter — which do we prefer?

Well, it always depends on our perspective. Both seasons have their charm and can be quite enjoyable. Of course, autumn is more pleasant and, above all, not as cold. But even on snowy days, sometimes the sun comes out and suddenly we are walking through the world in a cheerful mood. So the answer is probably not as clear-cut as we might have thought at first.

And that's exactly how it is with our two photos today. We are in the countryside and looking at the entrance to a local shrine, which is marked, as usual, by a torii gate. A few meters further on, we can already see the second gate, which, unlike the first, is not made of concrete but of wood and is also painted bright red. In both pictures, the red gate obviously stands out and is an eye-catcher. but this little shrine is also a very charming place that is worth a quick stop.

I can't decide which scene I like better. Of course, the autumn picture seems a little livelier, but the winter picture is all the more peaceful, especially since the snow in front of us is still untouched.

Let's see what it looks like here on my next stop. It will probably be spring then, which should be quite charming as well...

Herbst oder Winter - was gefällt uns besser?

Nun ja, es kommt wohl immer auf die Perspektive an, den beide Jahreszeiten haben ihren Reiz und können Spaß machen. Klar ist es im Herbst angenehmer und vor allem nicht so kalt. Aber auch an verschneiten Tagen kann die Sonne scheinen und man läuft auf einmal mit guter Laune durch die Welt. Von daher fällt die Antwort wohl nicht ganz so eindeutig aus, wie man anfangs vielleicht gedacht haben mag.

Und genau so ist das auch bei unseren beiden Fotos heute. Wir sind auf dem Land und sehen den Eingang zu einem lokalen Schrein, der wie üblich von einem Toori markiert ist. Ein paar Meter weiter sehen wir bereits das zweite Tor, welche im Gegensatz zum ersten nicht aus Beton, sondern aus Holt und dazu noch rot lackiert ist. Auf beiden Bildern sticht das rote Tor natürlich heraus und ist ein Blickfänger, aber auch sonst ist dieser kleine Schrein ein sehr charmanter Ort, der mir ab und zu einen kurzen Stopp wert ist.

Ich selber kann mich nicht entscheiden, welche Szene mir besser gefällt. Klar wirkt das Herbstbild ein wenig lebhafter, aber das Winterbild dafür um so ruhiger, vor allem da der Schnee vor uns noch unberührt ist.

Mal schauen, wie es hier bei meinem nächsten Stopp ausschaut. Wahrscheinlich wird dann Frühling sein, was mit Sicherheit auch ganz reizvoll sein dürfte...
