Sakura, the cherry blossom has recently left us, but luckily we have little time to mourn. Spring is just picking up speed and will continue to spoil us with a whole host of colors and shapes. And if you really think about it, the sakura season isn't completely over yet, as there are still a few late bloomers to discover here and there. In particular, these include the Yae-zakura, which is able to set very special accents with its fluffy blossoms.

These blossoms are mostly white or pink, although there appear to be a number of different shades. But it is the pink blossoms that stand out the most and their glow can often be seen from afar. And as with the normal cherry blossom, it is simply fun to walk in front of or stop just under these trees, to reast and take a close look at the splendor in front of you. I always manage to forget everything else for a moment and I am able to concentrate only on the blossoming trees in front of me. What could be more important than admiring the beautiful blossoms in front of you?

Die eigentliche Kirschblüte hat uns zwar vor Kurzem verlassen aber zum Glück bleibt uns nur wenig Zeit zum trauern. Der Frühling nimmt nur so richtig Fahrt auf und wird uns auch weiterhin mit einer ganzen Menge an Farben und Formen verwöhnen wollen. Und wenn man es genau nimmt, ist die Sakura-Zeit ja auch noch gar nicht vorbei, denn es gibt hier und da noch ein paar Spätblüher zu entdecken. Dazu zählt insbsondere die Yae-zakura, eine Form der Zierkirsche, die mit ihren puscheligen Blüten ganz besondere Akzente zu setzen vermag.

Die Blüten sind meist weiß oder rosa, wobei es hier etliche Schattierungen zu geben scheint. Aber gerade die rosa Blüten sind es, die am meisten herausstechen und deren Leuchten oft schon aus der Ferne zu sehen ist. Und wie schon bei der normalen Kirschblüte macht es einfach Spaß, vor oder unter diesen Bäumen entlang zu laufen, stehen zu bleiben und sich die Pracht vor einen ganz genau anzuschauen. Mit zumindest gelingt es dann immer, für einen Augenblick alles andere zu vergessen und auszublenden, und mich nur auf die blühenden Bäume vor mir zu konzentrieren. Was könnte es denn auch Wichtigeres geben, als die herrlichen Blüten vor einem zu bewundern?!

Sometimes the Yae-Zakura is a little more discreet and doesn't take the place in the center of attention. But even in these places, it quickly captivates us and manages to slow down our steps and attract our attention.

Manchmal kommt die Yae-Zakura auch etwas dezenter daher und stellt sich nicht ganz zu in den Mittelpunkt. Aber auch an diesen Orten bezaubert sie einen ganz schnell und schafft es, unsere Schritte zu verlangsamen und unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zu ziehen.

Aber wie gesagt, die rosa Blütenpuschel sind am eindrucksvollsten, insbesondere wenn sich über einem ein wahres Blütenmeer im Winde wiegt, in welches man nur allzu gerne eintauchen würde.

The first glance quickly turns into dreaming, with your gaze following the countless flowers above you. This is something you never want to let go of. The sight is enchanting and calming at the same time, and leaves you wanting more. You would love to stay here forever.

Aus dem ersten Betrachten wird schnell ein Träumen, bei dem der eigene Blick den unzähligen Blüten über einem folgt und diese nicht mehr loslassen will. Dieser Anblick bezaubert und beruhigt zugleich, und lässt einen gar nicht mehr los. Gerne würde man hier für immer verweilen.

The spectacle of the yae-zakura seems to last a little longer than the actual cherry blossom, and depending on the region, extends into May. And when the fluffy pink blossoms finally fall to the ground, you will realize that it is now blooming and greening all around you and that spring is rushing from peak to peak. And that even if Queen Sakura has moved on, there's no reason to mourn. On the contrary, there is so much to see and enjoy...

Das Schauspiel der Yae-Zakura scheint ein wenig länger anzuhalten als die eigentliche Kirschblüte, und reicht je nach Region bis in den Mai hinein. Und wenn dann auch die puscheligen rosa Blüten zu Boden fallen, wird man feststellen, dass es nun überall um einen herum blüht und grünt und dass der Frühling von Höhepunkt zu Höhepunkt eilen tut. Und das es auch wenn Königin Sakura weitergezogen ist, gar keinen Grund gibt, um Trübsal zu blasen. Ganz im Gegenteil, es gibt so viel zu sehen und zu genießen...
