The past is still glowing =/= Die Vergangenheit leuchtet noch 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

From time to time, fall is still showing its pleasant and sunny side and manages to lure us out of the house. If the weather is right, there's still a lot to discover these days, and that's exactly what I'm always up for. And it was precisely for this reason that we went on another little excursion a few days ago, on which we passed a small building that had been preserved from earlier times and had once served as samurai accommodation.

There wasn't much to see inside the house apart from a few empty rooms, but you could still get an impression of how the samurai might have lived in this area a few hundred years ago. Normal people were not usually pampered back then, and that was also true of most representatives of the Japanese warrior caste.

But much more interesting and attractive for me were the colorful maple trees, which showed off their autumnal beauty to the right of the entrance. This was exactly the kind of sight we were on the lookout for that day, and here we found it for the first time.

Noch zeigt sich der Herbst ab und zu von seiner angenehmen und sonnigen Seite und schafft es dabei, uns raus aus dem Haus zu locken. Wenn das Wetter es zu lässt, kam man dort auch in diesen Tagen noch eine ganze Menge entdecken, und genau dafür bin ich doch immer zu haben. Und genau aus diesem Grund hatten wir vor einigen Tagen mal wieder einen kleinen Ausflug gemacht, welcher uns unter anderem zu einem aus früheren Zeiten erhaltenden Haus geführt hatte, das einmal als Samuraiunterkunft gedient hatte.

Im Inneren des Hauses gab es zwar außer ein paar leeren Zimmern nicht viel zu sehen, aber man konnte trotzdem einen Eindruck davon bekommen, wie vor ein paar hundert Jahren die Samurai in dieser Gegend gelebt haben könnten. Verwöhnt wurden die normaler Menschen damals meist eher nicht, und das galt auch für die meisten Vertreter der japanischen Kriegerkaste.

Aber viel interessanter und anziehender für mich waren die bunten Ahornbäume, welche sich rechts neben dem Eingang in ihrer herbstlichen Schönheit präsentierten. Genau solchen Anblicke waren wir an jenem Tag auf der Spur, und hier wurden wir nun das erste Mal fündig.

Many traditional Japanese buildings have a small veranda from which you have a very relaxing view of the garden. So it was in this case too, and I took a little break right there to take a closer look at the scenery around me.

Viele traditionelle japanische Gebäude haben eine kleine Verranda, von der man aus einen recht entspannenden Blick zum Garten hin hat. So war es auch in diesem Fall, und auch ich habe mir genau dort eine kleine Pause gegönnt, um mir die Szenerie um mich herum genauer anzuschauen.

As usual, red was the dominant color that clearly stood out the most. I always like to admire the strong contrast that the already colorful leaves offer to the still quite fresh green leaves right next to them. Nature must have been in a bit of a hurry in some places.

Wie üblich war Rot die dominierende Farbe, die ganz eindeutig am meisten heraus stach. Ich bewundere immer wieder gerne den starken Kontrast, den die bereits bunten Blätter zu den immer noch im recht frischen Grün daher kommenden Blätter gleich daneben bieten. An einigen Stellen hat es die Natur wohl etwas eiliger gehabt.

As I have learned, there is quite a wide variety of maple trees, which also affects the leaf color in autumn. Some maple trees don't change color at all, while others appear in bright red or sometimes in a wonderful yellow.

Wie ich lernen durfte, gibt es in Sachen Ahornbäume eine recht große Vielfalt, was sich auch auf die Blattfarbe im Herbst auswirken tut. Manche Ahornbäume färben sich gar nicht, und andere scheinen in knalligem Rot oder manchmal auch in einem wundervollem Gelb.

I could have stayed here for quite a while, but we still had plans for the rest of the day. We were going to enjoy the autumn colors a little more, and this short stop here was just the right way to get in the mood. I quickly realized again what I find so attractive about this country here in the Far East and what fascinates me most about it. It is probably the mixture of modernity and tradition, where many places from the past have fortunately survived to the present day. Many people in Japan have a special awareness of these things, and I myself also feel a very special respect when I pass buildings like this one. Sometimes you might need Mother Nature's help to really convey the charm of places like this. In any case, this place has definitely delivered it wonderfully...

Ich hätte hier ruhig noch eine ganze Weile sitzen bleiben können, aber wir hatten ja noch etwas vor für den Rest des Tages. Und auch dabei wollten wir uns ein wenig an den Herbstfarben erfreuen, und dafür war dieser kurze Stopp hier genau die richtige Einstimmung. Uch wurde mir auch wieder schnell bewusst, was ich denn an diesem Land hier im Fernen Osten so anziehend finde und was mich hier denn am meiste fasziniert. Es ist wohl die Mischung aus Moderne und Tradition, bei der viele Orte der Vergangenheit glücklicherweise bis in die Gegenwart hinein überlebt haben. Viele Menschen in Japan haben genau dafür ein besonderes Bewusstsein, und ich selber spüre auch einen ganz besonderen Respekt, wenn ich an Gebäuden wie diesem hier vorbeikomme. Manchmal braucht man vielleicht auch noch Mutter Naturs Hilfe, umd den Charme solcher Orte richtig rüber zu bringen. Hier an dieser Stelle ist es auf jeden Fall wunderbar gelungen...
