Still going strong =/= Noch immer stark dabei 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

Once again it's glowing red behind our house. As in previous years, the tulips that a wise person planted there a few years ago are blooming again this spring. When I looked behind the house for the first time in mid-spring almost 10 years ago, it was just as gloriously red as it is this year. And the spectacle is repeated every spring, without the tulip bulbs being taken out of the ground and replanted later.

Nature is totally left to its own devices here, except that from time to time the weeds are removed, which here in Japan sometimes sprout faster than you can even look. But perhaps these are the conditions that our tulips like as well, because they also seem to do extremely well every April.

Slim and slender, they stretch upwards and open their flowers wide. Now is their time and for a short while they are clearly the center of attention. When they have finished blooming, I will at least remove the dry stems and then hope that this miracle of nature will happen again next year. And I'm probably not alone in this hope...

Auch in diesem Jahr leuchtet es rot hinter unserem Haus. Wie auch in den Jahren zuvor, blühen auch diesen Frühling wieder die Tulpen, die eine weise Person dort vor einigen Jahren gepflanzt hat. Als ich vor fast 10 Jahren das erste Mal zu dieser Jahreszeit hinter das Haus geschaut hatte, leuchtete es mir damals genau so herrlich rot entgegen wie in diesem Jahr. Und das Schauspiel wiederholt sich jeden Frühling von neuem, ohne das die Tulpenzwiebeln aus der Erde genommen und später wieder neu eingeplanzt werden.

Die Natur ist hier total sich selbst überlassen, außer dass dort ab und zu das Unkraut entfernt wird, welches hier in Japan manchmal schneller spriest, als man überhaupt hinschauen kann. Aber vielleicht sind das ja auch die Bedingungen, die unsere Tulpen hier mögen, denn auch ihnen scheint es jeden April äußerst gut zu gehen.

Schlank und rank strecken sie sich nach oben und öffnen ihre Blüten ganz weit. Jetzt ist ihre Zeit gekommen und für eine kurze Weile stehen sie dort ganz eindeutig im Mittelpunkt aller Aufmerksamkeit. Wenn sie dann demnächst abgeblüht sind, werde ich zumindest die trockenen Stengel entfernen und dann hoffen, dass sich auch im nächsten Jahr dieses Wunder der Natur wiederholen tut. Und mit dieser Hoffnung bin ich wohl nicht alleine...
