Something for our next visit =/= Was für unseren nächsten Besuch - Tokio Impressions 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

Even though I have been to Tokyo many times to explore the Japanese capital, there is still a lot that I have not yet discovered in my favorite city. And every time I visit, I discover new places that I would love to check out, if only I had the time. Unfortunately, every visit to Tokyo comes with a time limit, even though I naturally try to make the most of the limited time I have.

But as I said, I always come across new places to discover, and my list keeps getting longer. But maybe that's just part of it and part of the charm I associate with this wonderful city.

During our last visit, for example, we passed by the Higashi-Hokusai Gallery. This gallery is dedicated to the famous Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, who lived from 1760 to 1849 and is considered one of the most important representatives of ukiyo-e art.

This exhibition offers an astonishingly diverse selection of works, information, and interactive elements related to Hokusai. Among other things, it displays originals and reproductions of Hokusai's most famous works, The Great Wave off Kanagawa and prints from the 36 Views of Mount Fuji.

That would be something for us too, and knowing my small team, they would love to be there. But unfortunately, there was no time for checking out this place on that day, so we only had a quick look at the entrance to the exhibition building. But let's see, maybe there will be an opportunity next time we come back to my favorite city in the hopefully not too distant future...

Auch wenn ich schon des Öfteren in Tokio und mich in der japanischen Hauptstadt umgesehen habe, gibt es in meiner erklärten Lieblingsstadt noch eine ganze Menge, das ich noch nicht erkundet habe. Und bei jedem Besuch entdecke ich neue Orte, an denen ich mich gerne umsehen würde, hätte ich doch nur die Zeit dazu. Aber leider ist jeder Besuch in Tokio zeitlich limitiert, auch wenn ich natürlich versuche, aus dieser limitierten Zeit das Meiste heraus zu holen.

Aber wie gesagt, es kommen eben immer neue Orte dazu, und meine Liste wird immer länger. Aber vielleicht gehört das eben auch dazu und macht einen Teil des Reizes aus, den ich mit dieser wunderbaren Stadt verbinde.

Bei unserem letzten Besuch kamen wir zum Beispiel am Higashi‑Hokusai Gallery vorbei, die dem berühmten japanischen Künstlers Katsushika Hokusai gewidmet ist, der von 1760 bis 1849 lebte und als einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter der ukiyo‑e‑Kunst gilt.

In dieser Ausstellung kann man wohl eine erstaunlich vielfältige Auswahl an Werken, Informationen und interaktiven Elementen rund um Hokusai entdecken. Unter anderen werden hier Originale und Reproduktionen von Hokusais berühmtesten Werken, Die große Welle vor Kanagawa und Drucke aus den 36 Ansichten des Berges Fuji ausgestellt.

Das wäre doch auch mal was für uns, und wie ich mein kleines Team kenne, wären sie liebend gerne dabei. Aber an jenem Tag war dafür leider keine Zeit, so dass uns nur ein kurzer Blick auf den Eingang des Ausstellungsgebäudes blieb. Aber mal sehen, vielleicht ergibt sich ja beim nächsten Mal die Gelegenheit, wenn wir in der hoffentlich nicht all zu fernen Zukunft wieder in meine Lieblingsstadt kommen...
