Are you saying you have only seen the beach and the ocean once?
I know there are many more beautiful places on our planet, and I love to hike and wander around as well.but for me nothing beats the big water. At every season :)

Only while I was in the Navy. I actually made many trips to the "shore" when stationed there to relax, but my area now is like 100 miles inland from the coast so I never get to see it as it's a 6 hour drive (through heavy traffic) from my location. Believe it or not, I actually know a few people who were born and have never left their state during their lives. Strange isn't it? Seems we're a big enough country that you can have everything you need in one place without leaving it. Recall that over 40% of Americans don't have a passport. In fact, I'm the only one in my family who does...
