Matsumoto-jo at night =/= Matsumoto-jo bei Nacht 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

Yes, I have to admit that I take too many photos. Over the years, this has increased more and more and my digital photo collection has grown over time. When I look at photos that I took a few years ago, I quickly realize that not only the quantity but also the quality has increased. I don't necessarily want to praise myself, one of the main reasons is probably that I have a better camera.

At the very beginning of digital photography, I was also equipped with a compact camera, which in my opinion could actually take quite good pictures for that time. Then came the smartphone and, for reasons of convenience, I left the digital camera at home and took photos with my phone. In the early days, the quality was not perfect at all, but nowadays some smartphones can even keep up with good digital cameras.

Well, I still use a slightly larger compact camera, which is now a bit outdated, and usually also the camera in my phone. I can take pretty nice pictures and I'm quite satisfied with them. The picture quality has improved a lot, which you can clearly see when you look at my older photos.

But these older photos also deserve to be seen and shown. And that's why today I am showing you two pictures of the castle Matsumoto-jo that I took around 10 years ago. I'm not sure at the moment whether I used my camera or my phone at that time, because as they are night shots, unfortunately they didn't turn out quite as sharp as I would have liked.

I guess I'm still an amateur when it comes to photography, but one who really enjoys it. And I think that's the most important thing in the end. I really have fun documenting and capturing my surroundings and everyday life in general and will continue to do so in the future. Maybe I'll even make it back to Matsumoto to take another photo of the castle there at night. And then we can compare whether I've made any progress in my photography. I certainly hope so...

Jawohl ich muss zugeben, dass ich zuviel fotografiere. Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich das immer mehr gesteigert und meine digitale Fotosammlung ist mit der Zeit immer mehr gewachsen. Wenn ich mir dabei Fotos anschaue, die ich vor einigen Jahren gemacht habe, fällt mir schnell auf, dass nicht nur die Quantität sondern auch die Qualität gestiegen ist. Dabei will ich mich nicht unbedingt selber loben, ein Hauptgrund ist wohl einfach, dass ich eine bessere Kamera habe.

Ganz am Anfang der Digitalfotografie war auch ich mit einer Kompaktkamera ausgestattet, welche für die damalige Zeit eigentlich ganz gute Bilder machen konnte. Dann kam das Smartphone und aus Bequemlichkeitsgründen ist die Digitalkamera dann zu Hause geblieben und man hat mit dem Telefon Fotos gemacht. Zu Anfangszeiten war die Qualität oft recht bescheiden, aber mittlerweile können einige Smartphones sogar mit guten Digitalkameras mithalten.

Nun ja, ich benutze immer noch eine etwas größere Kompaktkamera, die mittlerweile etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist und dabei meist auch die Kamera in meinem Telefon. Damit kann ich recht gute Bilder machen, mit denen ich ziemlich zufrieden bin. Die Bildqualität ist viel besser geworden, was man wie gesagt deutlich sieht, wenn man sich seine älteren Fotos anschaut.

Aber auch diese älteren Fotos verdienen es, gesehen und gezeigt zu werden. Und deshalb gibt es heute zwei Bilder der Burg Matsumoto-jo, welche ich vor rund 10 Jahren gemacht habe. Ich bin mir im Augenblick nicht sicher, ob ich hierfür meine Kamera oder mein Telefon benutzt hatte, denn da es Nachtaufnahmen sind, sind diese leider nicht ganz so scharf geworden, wie ich es gerne hätte.

Bei Fotografieren bin ich wohl immer noch ein Amateur, aber dafür einer, der großen Spaß dabei hat. Und ich denke, das ist am Ende wohl das Allerwichtigste. Ich habe großen Spaß, meinen Alltag und das Leben um Allgemeinen zu dokumentieren und festzuhalten und werde das auch in Zukunft weiter machen. Vielleicht schaffe ich es ja sogar noch einmal nach Matsumoto, um die dortige Burg noch einmal bei Nacht abzulichten. Und dann können wir vergleichen, ob ich beim Fotografieren nicht doch ein paar Fortschritte gemacht habe. Ich hoffe doch schon...
