Looking back =/= Ein Rückblick - Aizu Impressions 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER
A year goes by quickly, much too quickly! And yet some of the things we experienced a year ago seem like an eternity ago. And that's exactly why I allow myself to look back every now and then, to bring back those memories and refresh them a little. And to enjoy once again what I experienced back then.
At the end of last winter, we treated ourselves to a short trip to the Aizu region in the west of Fukushima Prefecture. We have been there quite often in recent years and I would love to go back there again right away.
In Aizu, you encounter an unadulterated Japan that has a lot of local spirit and, above all, a lot of nature to offer. And today I have selected three pictures which perfectly capture the atmosphere of this region.
In the first picture, we see strings of persimmons that have been hung up to dry. This fruit is very typical of this region, and in autumn you can see these small orange fruits glowing on the trees everywhere.
The second picture shows a small suspension bridge that we have crossed several times now. Even though it doesn't really look spectacular, I like to come here and let the mountainous surroundings sink in.
The third picture features mountains as well, as Aizu has plenty of them to offer. This region is particularly charming in winter, and you quickly realize that modern Japan is a long way away here. But maybe that is the great advantage of this wonderful part of the country...

Ein Jahr vergeht schnell, viel zu schnell! Und doch scheint manches, was wir vor einem Jahr erlebt haben, schon eine Ewigkeit her zu sein. Und genau aus diesem Grund gönne ich mir ab und zu einen kleinen Blick zurück, um eben genau diese Erinnerungen wieder hervorzuholen und ein wenig aufzufrischen. Und mich noch einmal an dem zu erfreuen, was ich damals erlebt habe.
Letztes Jahr zum Ende des Winters hatten wir uns einen kurzen Trip in die Aizu-Region im Westen der Präfektur Fukushima gegönnt, wo wir in den letzten Jahren schon ziemlich oft gewesen sind. Aber uns gefällt es dort und ich würde sofort wieder hinfahren wollen.
In Aizu begegnet man einem unverfälschten Japan, das viel lokalen Esprit und vor allem auch viel Natur zu bieten hat. Und davon habe ich heute drei Bilder ausgesucht, welche für mich gut die Stimmung in diesem Landstrich unterstreichen.
Im ersten Bild sehen wir Kaki-Früchte, die zum trocknen aufgehangen wurden. Diese Frucht ist sehr typisch für diese Region und im Herbst sieht man überall an den Bäumen diese kleinen orangen Früchte leuchten.
Das zweite Bild zeigt eine kleine Hängebrücke, die wir mittlerweile schon einige Male überquert haben. Auch wen es nicht wirklich spektakulär erscheint, ich komme gerne hierher und lasse die bergige Umgebung auf mich wirken.
Und auch im dritten Bild geht es um Berge, denn davon hat Aizu eine ganze Menge zu bieten. Besonders im Winter wirkt diese Region sehr charmant und man merkt schnell, dass das moderne Japan hier ganz weit weg ist. Aber das ist dann eben auch der große Vorteil von diesem Landstrich...
