Finally on the road again =/= Endlich mal wieder unterwegs 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan

As usual, it’s taken far too long this time as well, but we’ve finally managed to get away again. We’re treating ourselves to a few days’ break and a short escape, and we’re heading off for a few days.

Once again, our short trip takes us to familiar surroundings, and we’ll be spending the next few days in the Aizu region. We’ve been drawn here regularly over the last few years, and this part of Japan has really won our hearts.

It’s quite a way off the beaten track compared to Japan’s usual travel and tourist destinations, but that’s probably just how it should be. Here in the west of Fukushima Prefecture, it’s rather quiet, and the countryside and people invite you to relax.

And that’s really what it’s all about. We all need a little break and a bit of a change of scenery, and of course if possible a dip or two in an onsen. That’s always what I look forward to most, and I can hardly wait to finally stretch out my tired limbs in a warm bath.

By the time we get back, I’ll probably have taken a whole load of photos again. I’ll of course give you a full account of what we’ve seen and experienced later on - hopefully we’ll be able to explore some new territory too.

Wie üblich hat es auch diesmal viel zu lange gedauert, aber nun haben wir es endlich wieder geschafft. Wir gönnen uns ein paar Tage Pause und eine kurze Auszeit und fahren für ein paar Tage weg.

Auch diesmal führt uns unsere kurze Reise in bekannte Gefilde und wir werden die nächsten Tage in der Aizu-Region verbringen. In den letzten Jahren zieht es uns hier regelmäßig hin, und mittlerweile ist uns dieser Landstrich Japans sehr an herz gewachsen.

Ein wenig ist man hier ziemlich weit weg von den üblichen Reise- und Tourismuszielen Japans, aber wahrscheinlich ist das auch gut so. Hier im Westen der Präfektur Fukushima ist es eher ruhig und Land und Leute laden zum Entspannen ein.

Und genau darum geht es ja eigentlich auch. Wir alle brauchen ein kleine Pause und ein bisschen Abwechslung, und wenn möglich natürlich auch das eine oder andere Bad in einem Onsen. Genau darauf freue ich mich immer am meisten, und ich kann es kaum erwarten, meine müden Glieder endlich mal wieder in einem warmen Bad auszustrecken.

Nach unserer Rückkehr werde ich wahrscheinlich wieder eine ganze Menge Fotos gemacht haben. Ich werde euch natürlich ausführlich berichten, was wir gesehen und erlebt haben, wobei wir hoffentlich auch ein wenig Neuland erkunden können.
