Already a little more colorful =/= Bereits ein wenig bunter 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER
It’s finally starting to happen! On my recent walks, I could feel and see it—spring is finally here, even if it’s still a bit hesitant to fully reveal itself. But there’s no denying that nature is picking itself up after winter and is ready to start anew. The first hints of color are appearing in more and more places, and things are getting a little more lively and slowly but surely a little greener.
It will still take some time before things really get going, as most of the trees are still pretty bare. It will be a few more weeks before the first fresh leaves emerge, but luckily there are quite a few evergreen trees and bushes in Japan. And these are already blooming, like the tsubaki, the Japanese camellia, which has been with us all winter.

Langsam geht es los! Bei meinen letzten Spaziergängen konnte ich es spüren und sehen - der Frühling ist nun endlich da, auch wenn er sich noch nicht so richtig trauen will. Doch es ist nicht zu übersehen, dass die Natur sich nach dem Winter nur wieder aufrappelt und von vorne anfangen will. An immer mehr Orten sind die ersten Farben zu sehen und es wird ein wenig bunter und ganz langsam auch ein wenig grüner.
Noch wird es ein paar Wochen dauern, bis es so richtig los geht und noch sind die meisten Bäume ziemlich kahl. Bis die ersten frischen Blätter rauskommen, wird es noch ein bisschen dauern, aber zum Glück gibt es in Japan auch so einige immergrüne Bäume und Büsche. Und diese blühen bereits jetzt, wie zum beim die Tsubaki, die japanische Kamelie, die uns den Winter über begleitet hat.
But even without leaves, it already looks much more cheerful than it did a few weeks ago. Especially since it’s finally dry and it’s not raining quite as much anymore—and it’s certainly not snowing either. A little sunshine can work wonders and really brighten the mood around you.
Aber auch ohne Blätter sieht es bereits viel freundlicher aus, als vor ein paar Wochen. Vor allem auch, weil es eindlich ein trockener ist und nicht mehr ganz so viel regnet und ja auch nicht mehr schneit. Ein wenig Sonne kann auf einmal für richtige Wunder sorgen und die Stimmung um einen herum aufhellen.
And now it's beginning to bloom. Still very slowly and only here and there, but it's getting started. Like this Japanese dogwood, which produces small yellow flowers very early in the year, often even before the leaves appear.
So the first signs are here, and hopefully it will continue this way. I’m already looking forward to more colors and flowers, and especially to the spectacular display of cherry blossoms, which we’ll be able to enjoy in about two weeks’ time. I’m so excited!!
Und es fängt jetzt an zu blühen. Noch ganz langsam und nur vereinzelt, aber es geht los. Wie hier bei der Japanischen Kornelkirsche, die sehr früh im Jahr kleine gelbe Blüten bildet, oft noch bevor die Blätter erscheinen.
Die Anfänge sind also gemacht und so wird es hoffentlich weiter gehen. Ich freue ich schon auf mehr Blüten und Blumen und vor allem auf das tolle Schauspiel der Kirschblüte, welches wir in rund zwei Wochen genießen dürfen. Ich freue mich schon riesig!!
