I want to share something special from my past and also talk about this week's topic in Ladies of Hive

I want to share something special from one of my favorite moments and also talk a little about makeup and how I feel about it.

This photo was taken late 2023 after China opened up again. It’s one of my favorites because I got to travel outside the country for the very first time and everything felt new and exciting. I was really lucky my aunt in Macau helped me with the trip and even treated me to a luxury hotel which made me feel like a princess for a few days.

Another memory I love during this travel was later that night, when I sat by the hotel window and watched all the lights outside. It felt peaceful and I remember thinking how far I’ve come from just dreaming about trips like that. That moment made me want to work harder so I can travel more and maybe visit other places I’ve only seen in pictures.

I like makeup but I also love cosplaying because it makes me feel more confident and alive. When I put on a costume with makeup it feels like I’m becoming someone new and that makes me feel really free. I don’t really follow a routine because I only use foundation and powder and when I need a full look I usually ask my friends to help or I get a makeup artist.

One time during a local cosplay event I wore a character with very bright makeup and even fake lashes. It took almost two hours to finish everything but the result was amazing and I felt so proud walking on stage. That day I realized how makeup can really change how you see yourself and how others see you too.
