In agriculture there is always room for display of goods and services, likewise it is also acceptable for buying and selling of finish products or raw products. Some of the finished products can be in form of already processed Grains, flours, tubers and so on. But on the other hand, the fresh raw products can be product from the cultivated crops that is being freshly harvested or animals. This animals can be transported from one place to another just for the sake of being sold and that is why I also went out to visit the good market.

On a special note we have different market for different products. When you are talking about the agricultural products, we have them on a special note. Where you can absolutely pickpoint around and visit there for a purchase. When you are also talking about the perishable food items. We also have them on a different market, although you can walk extensively before you get to those particular places in another market entirely. But what I am saying in essence is that we have different products sold in different market.

When I got to this market, it was fully mainly animals which are goat sheep and cattle. They are off different sizes which makes me to understand that people absolutely travel to bring in this animals from another state. With a lot of conversations that was made during the visit, I was told that people absolutely travel down to state like Kano to bring fresh animals into ilorin kwara State Nigeria. Mainly to do business only. With what I saw I realized that majority of the animals came from Kano and other neighboring States.

My visitation was mainly to expose more about the different types of market we have here in west African Nigeria and also to bring in more knowledge about buying and selling of agricultural products. I was also opportuned to visit the pepper market only but that will be on another section of the post. Where we have majority of the market sellers being pepper seller alone. That is really amazing.

I saw a lot of different sizes of animals ranging from small to big to the biggest sizes. Also the price tag was also very expensive. With my discussion with a lot of Goat and sheep sellers, I was made to understand that just only the transportation alone makes the shoot up of the prices of the animals to go more than three times.

There are some sellers who are more than 10 years into this business. Buying and selling of animals from one state to another to their customers. I also saw a lot of women into this business as well. Most of them do not want to face the camera but with what I observed. Its unisex business.

The some people who actually came to buy the smaller animals which are of goat breeds and sheep breeds as well. With what I heard from so many discussion, I deduced that they are absolutely into agricultural animal production. So they needed to buy from different sources to bring into their animal Farm. Which is also a very good tactics for good animal production breeding.

Just like any other farm animal, they also consume different varieties of food stuff. Some section of the animal market, they were given mixture of a beans shaft with cassava peel.
