I got to know more about sugarcane while I was on the farm doing some one Farm activity at the other and that is why I needed to share it with you so that you can also try as much as possible to cultivate sugarcane no matter what the condition is. It will always give you your sugarcane produce. I learned about planting of sugarcane while I was very small because my late dad had it in mass. This means that we always visit the farm where we cultivated sugarcane more than 2 plots of land. It's inside a swampy area. Which also gives the privilege to negotiate with the soil and water for a very good production.

For those who are familiar with rice farming the same Farm activity you do for rice is also applicable to sugarcane. It is just that we need the sugarcane stem to kick off not the rice seed this time around. The sugarcane stem also varies from one another depending on the kind of sugarcane species. We have the red sugarcane species as well as the normal sugarcane species which grows in green color. Which we normally see around here. the kind of specie they have and the northern part of Nigeria is extremely different from the ones we see around.

That is why as individual farmer you need to establish a very good agricultural Farmland or any kind of planting medium just like in the case of mobile seedbed where you can plant your crop indicates of sugarcane.

• This is the normal color we have here in west African Nigeria although some of other species are introduced into the state and into the Farming community.

When you plant this it will increase one after the other day at which cultivate it into the soil. The record I kept made me to conclude that it is good to always reason out of the box. Meaning that even when you are any type of crop base Farmer, you can as well manage your resources to cultivate other type of crop and you also keep the records intact.

The base of the sugarcane always sprout out more sugarcane stem. This means that even when you cultivate just only one sugarcane stem when you come back and double check on it in the next few months you will absolutely see that you have more than 10 sugarcane stem already growing one after the other. That is how the nature works.

• As the green pigment works. it circulate round the whole plant. Meaning that anytime you say any kind of color attached to the green pigment it means there is a problem around to be fixed.

This is not exceptional, I always also do this for the sugarcane as well. When did sugarcane do not see water constantly it also makes it to change color within few days. I also noticed this when I was moving around the farm too they will check on the record keeping. I observe when there was no rainfall and when it rained the difference was clear.

That is how most of the cultivated crops on the farm survive. No water no survival.

• When you move closer to the sugarcane stem, you see that I also packed some dried weeds to support it. This is because of the heat that comes from the sun. To reduce the amount of it that is being penetrated into the soil. This does not reduce it growth at all.

This was when the water is been poured into the mobile seedbed. To support growth daily. I do not always do this because whenever it is being done I make sure that I did it to the fullest whereby even in 2 days, it does not need water again unless it's rained naturally.
