Hello Hivers 💕💘,

In my discord channel I find a question that says how do I get a good and healthy planting green African spinach seed? It was all about discussion and more explanation because I will tell you this. This is a very good question to be asked for any farmer because your planting method lies between a very good agricultural soil and a very healthy and viable seed. When you have this to start with your family season will be more smoother than you expect. In our discussion I made mention of this type of method which is called stay over planting method. I also further my explanation that in my own farm I always leave the best green vegetables, the best chill pepper plants, the best okra plant to over grow, which I also called over matured.

This over matured simply means that I intentionally leave some of the very healthy plant to reach their maturity stage with fruits on them. Be it the African spinach vegetable seed as you can see it in the pictures above and below, be it Pepper and some other crops similar to them. What I always do is that along the farming season I will locate one or two or three green vegetable stands which are intentionally bring them up with the aim and objective of producing more seed for me. When I do this I give them more attention to be assured that they produce very good and healthy seed that can be used for planting the next farming season. After this I keep on monitoring and observing them all. And I will always take that pictures to know the rate at which the seed are getting dried up. This means that the particular plant will be suitable for planting in another farming season after extracting the seed. I took some pictures of the African spinach that are already getting dried up which are intentionally left on the farm to produce seeds.

  • I already harvested this and the next step I followed was to lay them in the sun to dry them up faster. It is highly necessary to do this type of method if you want to use the seed for planting. This care is not taking you will lose the whole seed to wind. This is what I mean when there is excess wind blowing they will always fall down and start germinating when there is emerge of rainfall.

Sometimes when you notice that you have one or two healthy stand of one particular plants you cultivated you need to leave them to grow up naturally on their own with their seed on them. When you do this you are preparing ahead of the next farming season and I can assure you that the seed will always work and germinate as a very appropriate time. Sometimes I always go to be agricultural store to purchase new seeds but not every time.

This method of sun drying can be done twice so that it will not overdry again. When it is overdried its may not germinate again but go dead inside the soil But when it is moderate dried. Within 14 days you see the results Positively.

Here I have another type of African spinach which I also left on growing pattern. It means that even often now I have not Harvested the seeds. But very soon I'm going to also replant the seed as soon as possible. This process can be done three times four times in a year and you will really enjoy your farming season. But when it is constant you may have one or two planting defect on your farm.

Like I said earlier you can practice this often. You will always have more healthy seed to back on for more planting days. It is very easy to practice this method but for those that are ready for real agriculture. why I said this is because before you know it the time has already gone.

You will also observe the plant as you can see it closely. You should not conclude that this plant is equally good for seed conservation. But you also need to see the healthiest character on the plant first before you can assume that the seed that comes out from this plant will bring out forth healthy vegetables. This is why I said agriculture is also need statics of approach.

If you have a plant like this in your farm you are ready to go to harvest the seed to be used the next planting or Farming season. You need to also work on the seed because it must not stay long even in your store. Or it will not germinate.
