Hello Hivers ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’˜,

Aside some plants that can be seen along the river Banks, we also have this plants which can also be identified as weed to common People. And this is simply because it just a plant that grows on its own on the agricultural Farmland or along a Walkpath. I could remember while we were growing up this particular plant called the centrosema filled up our walkway till we reach our own farm. This is to show that sometimes it grows on its own and also it can be transported and transplanted into a new environment for the purpose of raising up animals as feed.

This centrosema is a very stubborn weed if I may say because even when you cut it off it will always grow back in 100 folds. This is to show us that there some plants that animals feed on them naturally just like indicates of rabbit ship goat cartoon guinea pig and so on. If you want to use it to feed your animals it also has some few steps you need to take. Just to ensure that it very palatable and decent for your animals.

In the case of rabbit you need to make sure that you cut off the weed which is called the centrosema and you leave it for a couple of minutes close to 20 minutes to 1 hour before you can be able to use it to feed your animals. Or else you may mistakenly feed some predators with the leaves and it will result into diarrhea. This diarrhea is also one of the animal diseases that kill within few hours. For those of us that are very familiar with animal keeping can tell us how serious and deadly this particular diarrhea is in animals. If care is not taken it will spread out and start to kill your animals one after the other. When I was gathering up some information about a particular agricultural Farmland then I saw them and I decided to share the pictures originally and make it known to people.

##. HOW TO IDENTIFY THE CENTROSEMA PLANT

  • The centrosema is a plant that crawl. This is one of the features. When you see it it always come in colony which means that it always partition itself and grow out together. Making it difficult for farmers to weed or to eradicate it easily from the soil. You have to use your hoes to make sure that you constantly scrape the soil before you can eradicate it. More also when you fit it with your hand it filled up with tiny hairs. This features also make it easier for animals to feed on them easily and to digest it.

I am making this because I have severally fed them to animals and have observed them thoroughly to make sure that its making a very good and palatable diet for them.

This plant is very easy to propagate in the sense that you need to look out for the roots of the plant individually so that even when you uproot it you will not by chance cut off the root. When you are lucky to have the route I can assure you that it is safe for transplanting into another environment for animals to feed on them.

It can also serve as weed to control erosion. In this particular location where I found it, it's used as weed to control erosion. I found out that the erosion has already make a gully road with the path but they use this plant or weed to reduce the amount of running away flood into their agricultural farmland.

The only thing I can say about the plants that can be as a disadvantage is that it easily spread. Even when you do not want them to grow they drop on the soil and they start to grow wide. This alone may put you off because it will take extra effort for you to control it if you leave it for a very long period Of time. When you use to feed your animals you will really enjoy the combination because it also serve as antibiotics for them.

I actually remember seeing a lot of centrosema vines in our place back when I was a kid. At first, I thought they were just ordinary weeds, but later I learned that goats and rabbits really love munching on them.

Hahahaha. Yes. Its a very useful weed for animals. I use it too uptill now and it awesome. Some animals can feed on it 24/7 without any repercussion.

We used to weed it this plants cetrosema back then very well, infact is one of the stubborn grass we thought growing in our farm without our permission ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Untill one day we saw one man came with bag looking for it asking us for permission to uproot it for his rabbits.

Smile ๐Ÿ˜†. When we are all novice about one thing or the other that is how it use to be. That is why we all need to engage and encourage ourselves on what we don't seems to know. To educate ourselves better.
