Hello Hivers 💕💘,

In West Africa Nigeria we are born to have two type of seasons that required a lot of Farm techniques to acquire a maximum production either in the crop production or an animal production. And this two type of season has a lot to do in agriculture because in the rainy season you may also have the privilege to apply water which is artificial irrigation system while you are in the rainy season just as I always do. This also depend on the type of geographical zone you are even in West Africa Nigeria. There are some part of Nigeria that is extremely dry so even when you plant your crops you still need to apply what is called the irrigation system to maintain your group and also to decide if you are going to make a lot of profit commercially or not.

Where I reside, is categorized as part of the northern part of Nigeria and yet we experienced a lot of agricultural Farmland dryness aside the dry season. So as this constantly occur, we need to have a plan B for the Crop Production. Although many people may not venture into this Practice, because I can't not speak for other farmers but what I do always and that keeps me going still is what I say as Practical Approach. So I do a lot of artificial irrigation system Practices. But as for now, the fact that I planted some Maize 🌽🌽seeds a week plus now and most of them did not germinate at all. I went ba k to visit the Agricultural store along OFFA GARAGE, ilorin town

  • This is the main entrance and we have a lot of display of Chemicals that can be used to solve so many Agricultural problems. Although it is not really advisable to use but most people do for special request and reasons.

The Maize 🌽🌽 Zone.

In this section, I asked the owner some few questions which I will also what is to learn from it as well. Sir, What is the duration for this maize specie.? And he said, its 3months and half. This is GREAT. Still okay for me to cultivate. Then, What is the germination duration as well. When you plant some, it won't germinate quickly and hence the dry soil will affect it again. So, he said 7-14 days or germination.

The way you talk about farming makes it seem very real because sometimes you do everything right and still have to start over from scratch like when the seeds don't germinate or the weather changes and often it's not your fault. Checking that the seeds are in good condition before planting them can help save you bad experiences later on but even then you may end up replanting, and that's just how it goes. Preparing the soil and choosing when to plant seems just as complicated to me as choosing the seeds and even when you do all that, you may have to go back and try again, I always think that the important thing is not to give up when things go wrong, because farming is about persevering and constantly learning from your mistakes until you finally get a good harvest, keep on going
