Visit the ecotourism area surrounding the ancient volcano Nglanggeran.

Hallo Traveller

This time, I traveled while I was in the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano Ecotourism Area, a tourist destination that employs ecotourism practices. which are environmentally friendly.

From Yogyakarta, it takes about thirty minutes. I continue on down this road. We have a pretty good route to travel. With views of the surrounding countryside, coconut trees, and green timber trees that surround this road area, this road route is quite attractive.

If you are traveling from Wonosari, all you need to do is turn right at the Sambi Pitu Roundabout and head in the direction of Bobung Village. In order to get to Nglanggeran Village from Bobung Village, you only need to cross a 3 km long road. To get to Bukit Bintang, though, you must first travel through Piyungan and Wonosari if your journey originates in Yogyakarta. Just keep going until you reach Nglanggeran Village.

I reached the ecotourism destination at the ancient volcano. Patuk, Gunung Kidul, Nglanggeran Wetan, Nglanggeran, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Here is where 2-wheeled vehicles can be parked. Of course, if you bring a motorcycle.

This is where the parking spots are, right on the village road's edge. Nglanggeran, Patuk, and Yogyakarta's Gunungkidul. as I drove my two-wheeled vehicle here.

When I first arrived here, I went to a huge group of rocky hills that were nearby an old house that had been here for hundreds of years.

You can ascend this narrow staircase to view the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano ecotourism area, which is no longer active and has formed several clusters of enormous boulders. Up until this point, many local and foreign visitors have come to the area to enjoy it. Natural resource potential is great for ecotourism.

There are hundreds of steps that can be found here to get to the top, but they appear so old because they have been there for a very long time; it is thought that these steps are almost as old as an ancient volcano, which was around 40 million years ago.

I want to share some pictures I took of these stairs while I was here. The pictures below show various perspectives of the stairs as well as enormous rocks that are standing tall to welcome you. When I take the photo, let's all watch it together.

stairs that are very steep and narrow. We must pass five levels of stairs that are required of you. Even one level feels heavy and worn out, but is still very interesting to explore. With enormous rocks surrounding us, as if to salute us.

This is the enormous rock that I passed on our left and right corners. Over time, the mountain ceased to be dormant and transformed into rock hills with a variety of unusual shapes, as I have shown in the previous photo and in the photo below. To reach the top, we only need to hike for 1 to 2 hours.

The farther it goes, the more we can appreciate the way that nature has arranged the stones. The giant rock chunks start from the parking lot as in the previous image, and as they get closer to this location, they rise. by descending the existing stairs. It is very exciting to be here and feels like time is passing quickly because the journey is not too heavy but rather light and enjoyable as it winds through rocky tunnels.

This ancient volcano, which is no longer active, is highly recommended for hikers and adventure seekers because it only requires a 1.5-hour trek to reach the summit. then you will soon reach the top to see the group of rocks that are shaped into the lovely natural panorama.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me with my travel endeavors in the Yogyakarta, Indonesia, ancient volcano ecotourism village of Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Patuk, Gunungkidul.
