Yo construyó lo que quiero / I build what I want

Quiero un monopatín,
para irme hasta ahí
y cuando este ahí,
regresar aquí.

Busco en el armario,
para ver que tengo guardado
hay es un auto,
pero en este ni siquiera alcanzó.

I want a skateboard,
so I can go there
and when I'm there,
come back here.
I look in the closet,
to see what I've got stashed away
there's a car,
but in this one I couldn't even reach it.

Busco muchos palos
y empiezo a montar algo,
un monopatín voy armando,
eso sí, quedó algo delgado.

Cuando terminó lo ensayo,
para estar seguro de que rueda rápido,
y cuando va andando,
se desarma, pero vuelvo a armarlo.

I look for many sticks
and I start to put something together,
a skateboard I'm putting together,
but it was a bit thin.
When it's finished I test it,
to make sure it rolls fast,
and when it's going,
it falls apart, but I put it back together again.

Soy un ser que va avanzando
y cuando regreso traigo algo,
una avión de color claro.
sencillo y bien elaborado.

Cuando lo suelto,
el vuela sin detenimiento,
eso sí, no se va lejos
y regresa a mi mano que es su aeropuerto.

I am a being that goes forward
and when I return I bring something,
a light-colored airplane.
simple and well elaborated.
When I release it
it flies without stopping,
it doesn't go far
and returns to my hand which is its airport.
