Una zarigüeya hambrienta/ A hungry possum
Una zarigüeya delgada
sube a la mesa afanada,
camina sin olfatear nada
y llega hasta la cuchara parda.
Ella devora unas semillas,
para que su pelo brille todo el día,
también el pan le simpatiza
y come un poco de masa fina.
A slender opossum
climbs onto the table busily,
walks without sniffing anything
and reaches the brown spoon.
She devours some seeds,
so that her fur shines all day long,
