Una semilla y su esencia /A seed and its essence

Una semilla cae de la rama
y una polilla de esto se percata,
camina hasta ella afanada
y le dice, que no pasa nada
que se la llevará para arreglarla.

El animal se aleja
ya semilla con ella lleva
y cuando la noche llega,
aparece algo en la escena,
una figura nueva.

A seed falls from the branch,
and a moth notices it,
it hurries over to it
and tells it, “It’s all right,
I’ll take you with me to fix you up.”

The creature flies away,
carrying the seed with it,
and when night falls,
something appears on the scene,
a new figure.

La polilla la semilla decora
y con pétalos su cuerpo adorna,
intenta subirla, la fuerza le sobra,
la pone en una rama pomposa
y ahí la deja sola.

Cuando amanece la flor se cae,
ella no quiere este disfraz que trae,
la polilla se lo quita con afanes,
se lo pone ella, se ve agradable
y en una rama se trepa de forma admirable.

The moth decorates the seed
and adorns its body with petals,
it tries to lift it up, with strength to spare,
places it on a grand branch
and leaves it there alone.

When dawn breaks, the flower falls,
she doesn’t want this disguise she’s wearing,
the moth eagerly takes it off,
she puts it on herself, it looks lovely
and climbs onto a branch in an admirable way.

La semilla tiempo después regresa
y un poco de tierra fresca se acerca,
la cubre sin cautela,
tras un rato algo la tierra atraviesa,
y nace un árbol de gran belleza.

Es un impresionante
y la polilla decide ayudarle,
le regala los pétalos que trae
para que lleve un color agradable
entre el verde que sus hojas traen.

Some time later, the seed returns,
and a bit of fresh soil drifts over,
covering it without a second thought,
after a while, the soil breaks through,
and a tree of great beauty is born.

It is a stunning sight,
and the moth decides to help it,
giving it the petals she carries
so that it may bring a pleasant splash of color
amidst the green of its leaves.
