Una rama de cilantro caída / A fallen cilantro branch
Una rama de cilantro,
se contonea de lado a lado,
parece un columpio improvisado
eso sí, bastante elevado.
La rama de cilantro se desprende
y al piso cae fuertemente,
ella intenta subirse nuevamente,
pero no alcanza las otras ramas verdes.
A branch of cilantro,
sways from side to side,
like a makeshift swing,
though quite high up.
The cilantro branch breaks off
and falls heavily to the ground.
It tries to climb back up,
but cannot reach the other green branches.
Se queda en el suelo,
un final triste asumiendo,
hasta que ve acercarse un animal bello,
un ciempiés de colores intensos.
Estos hablan por un rato
y el ciempiés le ayuda de inmediato,
lo sube muy alto,
hasta que alcanza las otras ramas de cilantro.
It stays on the ground,
accepting its sad fate,
until it sees a beautiful animal approaching,
a brightly colored centipede.
They talk for a while,
and the centipede immediately helps it,
lifting it high up,
until it reaches the other cilantro branches.
La rama se siente contenta
y comienza a escalar sin cautela,
sin precaución da la vuelta
y vuelve a caer al piso sin pena.
Para este momento ya no está
el ciempiés que le ayudó con afán,
ahora la rama deberá esperar
a que pase algun animal qué lo quiera ayudar.
The branch feels happy
and begins to climb without caution,
without care it turns around
and falls back to the ground without regret.
By this time, the centipede that eagerly helped it is gone,
now the branch must wait
for an animal to pass by that wants to help it.
