Una rama comedida / A helpful branch

Entre las ramas va bajando
un trozo de árbol,
va a buscar algo,
no sé qué,
pero va hacía el suelo pardo,
con paso acelerado.

Among the branches a piece of tree

Camina por la acera,
de acelerada manera,
a una casa entra
sin que nadie se de cuenta,
es una rama suelta,
no preocupa su presencia.

He walks down the sidewalk,

without anyone noticing,

Aquella rama solitaria,
entra a una alacena cerrada,
de ahí sale con una hormiga cargada,
que se había quedado encerrada
y pedia ayuda sin que la escucharan,
hasta que una rama fue a auxiliarla.

from there it comes out with a loaded ant,
that had been locked up
and was asking for help without being heard,
until a branch came to its aid.

Es así como la hormiga,
regresa a su hábitat y vive tranquila,
gracias a una rama comedida,
que fue a ayudarle enseguida,
sin importar
que eran especies distintas.

This is how the ant,
returns to its habitat and lives peacefully,
thanks to a careful branch,
who went to help him right away,
regardless of the fact
that they were different species.
