Una pastilla Falsa / A Fake Pill
Una pastilla de ibuprofeno,
salió de su empaque con ingenio,
era blanca con ojos negros
y camino sobre la mesa sin miedo.
Se acercó a un pan dorado
y se puso a hablar un rato,
varios temas trataron
y a la pastilla se le ocurrió algo extraño.
An ibuprofen pill,
cleverly slipped out of its package,
was white with black eyes
and walked fearlessly across the table.
It approached a golden piece of bread
and they chatted for a while,
they discussed various topics,
and a strange idea occurred to the pill.
Solicitó un trozo de masa,
la tomó y se marchó afanada,
se acercó al empaque que la guardaba
y ahí la coloco, para reemplazarla.
La pastilla de pan falsa,
quedó bien guardada,
la de verdad se marchó con ansias
mientras el pan aprendia y observaba.
She asked for a piece of dough,
took it, and hurried off,
approached the container where it was kept,
and placed it there to replace the other one.
The fake piece of bread
was safely put away,
while the real one hurried off eagerly
as the bread watched and learned.
Llegó alguien por el ibuprofeno
y tomó el empaque sin recelo
dejó caer lo que había adentro
y se tomó el falso medicamento.
El pan cuando vio esto
decidió irse de este aposento,
de la pastilla tomo el ejemplo,
eso sí, no dejó un pan fraudulento.
Someone came looking for ibuprofen
and took the package without suspicion,
spilled its contents,
and took the fake medicine.
When the loaf of bread saw this,
it decided to leave the room,
it followed the pill’s example,
though it didn’t leave behind a fake loaf of bread.
