Una montaña acalorada / A mountain with heat

La montaña estaba acalorada,
porque el sol exageraba,
con sus rayos naranja,
quemaba todo por donde pasaba.

Por eso una mañana,
la montaña dejó una montaña falsa,
de papel elaborada,
para que no notarán que no estaba.

The mountain was hot,
because the sun exaggerated,
with its orange rays,
burned everything it passed through.
That's why one morning
the mountain left a fake mountain,
made of elaborate paper,
so they wouldn't notice it was gone.

Se marchó,
la montaña se marchó,
se fue camino al mar,
lento, pero con serenidad.

Y ahí nadó,
el agua la refresco,
el calor le calmo
y hasta una quema apagó.

She left,
the mountain went away,
it went on its way to the sea,
slowly, but serenely.
And there she swam,
the water refreshed her,
the heat calmed her
and even extinguished a fire.

Como nueva regresó,
y una gran sorpresa se llevó,
la montaña de mentiras qué dejó,
se quemó, cenizas encontró.

Algún hombre una botella dejó
y junto al sol una llama se creó,
el fuego creció, creció
y con todo término.

She came back as good as new,
and to her great surprise,
the mountain of lies she left behind,
burned, ashes she found.
Some man left a bottle
and next to the sun a flame was created,
the fire grew, grew
and with it all ended.

La montaña se sintió aliviada,
la quema, no la afectó en nada,
eso sí,por su bien prefirió,
tomar sus maletas y marcharse en avión,
a un planeta donde el hombre no cause daños como el de hoy.

The mountain was relieved,
the burning did not affect it at all,
but for her sake, she preferred
to take her suitcases and leave by plane,
to a planet where man does not cause damage like today.
