Una media pastilla / Half a tablet
Entre varias pastillas
hay una distinta
es de una coloración bonita
que se levanta y camina.
De las otras medicinas se aleja
es azul y orgullosa se contonea,
de la mesa salta sin cautela
y en dos pedazos la pobre queda.
Among the many pills
there is one that stands out,
it has a pretty color
and gets up and walks around.
It walks away from the other medicines,
blue and proud, swaying as it goes,
it jumps off the table without a second thought,
and the poor thing ends up in two pieces.
Una mitad se levanta con dificultad
y a la otra arrastra con seleridad,
su otro mitad no debe abandonar
y la lleva a la cocina que cerca está.
En este lugar hay alimentos
y también un mosquito hambriento,

One half struggles to get up,
while the other drags it along with ease,

y salen a buscar un mejor lugar,

y ahora son amigos de verdad.
The mosquito approaches,
and the pill feels a twinge of fear,
the two look at each other with kindness
and realize they might form a new friendship.
The half-pill goes with him,
and they set out to find a better place
two beings whom life brought together
and who are now true friends.
