Una Mascarilla Especial / A Special Face Mask
Llegué a visitar una amiga,
que siempre lleva la cara amarilla,
me abrazó, hace tiempo no me veía
y me dijo que me sentará en la silla.
Ella fue a traer una mascarilla,
para que se vea la piel linda,
era un regalo que me tenía
para alegrar mi vida.
I went to visit a friend,
who always has a yellowish complexion,
she hugged me, she hadn't seen me in a while
and told me to sit down in the chair.
She went to get a face mask,
so my skin would look nice,
it was a gift she had saved for me
to brighten up my life.
Mi amiga en la cara la colocó
y luego se marchó
sentada me quedé sin preocupación
hasta que rara mi piel sentí yo.
Intenté retirarme la mascarilla,
pero está no se desprendía,
quedó en la piel fija
hasta que por fin llegó mi amiga.
My friend put it on my face
and then left,
I sat there, not a care in the world,
until I felt my skin getting weird.
I tried to take the mask off,
but it wouldn't come off,
it stayed stuck to my skin
until my friend finally came back.
Ella me dijo que sonriera
que se desprende de esa manera
y cuando lo hice, aunque estaba incrédula,
la mascarilla se cayó sin problema.
La cara me quedo grandiosa
suave y luminosa,
me marché contenta y orgullosa
de la piel que ahora me adorna.
She told me to smile,
that’s how it comes off,
and when I did, even though I was skeptical,
the mask came off without a hitch.
My face looked amazing,
smooth and radiant,
and I left feeling happy and proud
of the skin that now adorns me.
