Una gran oportunidad / A great opportunity
Había un pétalo suelto,
entre el bosque fresco,
se veía ileso,
eso sí, lo movía el viento.
Lo tomé y me lo llevé,
varias calles con el camine
y cuando me cansé
sobre el pavimento lo dejé.
There was a petal loose,
amidst the cool forest,
it looked unharmed,
but it was moved by the wind.
I took it and carried it away,
several streets with it I walked
and when I got tired
I left it on the pavement.
Soy una hoja de árbol trabajadora
y cargar mucho peso me agota,
I am a hard-working leaf of a tree
and carrying too much weight wears me out,
this petal weighs too much,
I'd better leave it for an animal to pick up.
I go on my way
and when I turn to see what has happened,
the petal has grown
and has become a flower.
A flower is more valuable
than a petal without eyes or mouth,
I approach to take her to my area,
she gets angry for having left it alone.
That petal turned flower leaves,
I lost a great opportunity,
I had in my hands a value without equal
but out of laziness I let it go.

Well written and looks very poetic in English translation. Such a deep thought. Have a great day ahead my friend.
