Una galleta de chocolate / A chocolate chip cookie
Había un paquete de galletas,
esperando sobre la mesa,
se abre cuando nadie la observa
y emerge una mirada pequeña.
Es una galleta de chocolate,
que quiere irse a otra parte,
con afan deja el empaque
y se va andando sin mirar a nadie.
There was a packet of cookies,
waiting on the table,
it opens when no one is watching
and a small gaze emerges.

Llega al borde de la mesa
y de esta se lanza sin prudencia,
por suerte no se quiebra
y se levanta para seguir su senda.
Varios kilómetros camina,
hasta que llega a una zona baldía,
fresca y atractiva,
donde hay tierra productiva.
It reaches the edge of the table
and recklessly throws itself off,
luckily it doesn't break
and gets up to continue on its way.
It walks for several kilometers,

La galleta escoge un lugar
y empieza a hundirse con afán,
se parte y se pierde en la oscuridad,
