Una flor para la ensalada / A flower for the salad

Había una ensalada de frutas solitaria,
sobre la mesa fue olvidada,
entre la papaya una macadamia,
esperaba en su marrón cáscara .

De repente gira la carcasa
y sale una sombra extraña,
no era una macadamia,
era una criatura inesperada.

There was a lonely fruit salad,
forgotten on the table,
among the papaya, a macadamia nut,
waiting in its brown shell.

Suddenly, the shell turns
and a strange shadow emerges,
it wasn't a macadamia nut,
it was an unexpected creature.

Esta no pretende quedarse
y de la fruta se va sin desaires,
no sé si tiene planes
o solo irá por el mundo sin afanes.

Llega hasta la pradera,
donde hay una flor bella.
con prudencia se acerca
y la toma para llevarla con ella.

She does not intend to stay
and leaves the fruit without offense.
I do not know if she has plans
or if she will just wander the world without cares.

She reaches the meadow,
where there is a beautiful flower.
She approaches cautiously
and picks it to take with her.

Regresa a la casa
y se sube a la ensalada,
ahí con la flor se para
y espera a que se aceptada.

Y tras un rato la ensalada se llevan,
con la flor, esta vez sí la aprecian,
ya no queda olvidada sin clemencia
ahora es una ensalada que todos anhelan.

It returns to the house
and climbs onto the salad,
there it stands with the flower
and waits to be accepted.

And after a while, the salad is taken away,
with the flower, this time they appreciate it,
it is no longer mercilessly forgotten,
now it is a salad that everyone craves.
