Una babosa bonachona / A good-natured slug

Sobre algunas bananas,
quedó una mariposa atrapada,
intentó soltarse afanada
pero la pobre no logró nada.

A las pocas horas trajeron
un brócoli fresco
entre este venía algo encubierto,
con dos ojos grandes y bellos.

On some bananas,
a butterfly got trapped,
it tried hard to free itself
but the poor thing couldn't manage it.

A few hours later they brought
some fresh broccoli
and hidden inside it was something
with two big, beautiful eyes.

Los ojos comienzan a explorar
y ven una mariposa que atrapada está,
la quieren ayudar
y del brocoli emerge una animal.

Es una babosa bonachona
que toma sin miedo la mariposa,
en sus antenas la transporta
y la saca de la zona.

The eyes begin to explore
and see a butterfly that is trapped.
They want to help it,
and an animal emerges from the broccoli.

It is a good-natured slug
that fearlessly takes the butterfly,
carries it on its antennae,
and removes it from the area.

La lleva hasta el patio,
y a las plantas se acerca despacio,
la deja sobre un tallo
y la babosa se aleja de inmediato.

La mariposa comienza a ascender
y en la flor se posa para nectar beber
ahora de nuevo libre es
recibió auxilio de una babosa que bonachona es.

It carries her to the courtyard,
and slowly approaches the plants,
leaves her on a stem,
and the slug immediately moves away.

The butterfly begins to ascend
and lands on the flower to drink nectar,
now she is free again,
having received help from a good-natured slug.
