Una amiga de verdad / A true friend

Tras una escalera,
algo espera,
tiene coloración tierra
y ojos de variada apariencia.

No sale de aquel lugar,
le gusta ocultó estar,
eso sí, le agrada observar
y vigila lo que pasa por él lugar.

Behind a staircase,
something awaits,
it has an earthy coloration
and eyes of varied appearance.
It does not leave that place,
it likes to hide,
but it likes to observe
and watches what happens in the place.

Una mariposa llega volando,
aquel ser atraviesa la escalera rápido,
agarra al volador con cuidado
y lo lleva entre la escalera que tiene a su lado.

Desaparece de la escena
mientras tanto un globo rojo entra,
pasa entre la escalera
y rescata a la mariposa bella.

A butterfly flies in,
that being crosses the staircase quickly,
grabs the flyer carefully
and carries it between the ladder next to it.
It disappears from the scene
Meanwhile a red balloon enters,
passes between the ladder
and rescues the beautiful butterfly.

El ser marrón sale detrás,
no los alcanza, se han ido ya,
el globo se llevó la mariposa a volar
y este se quedo en soledad.

Entonces, también se marchó
y regreso con una compañía mejor,
una hormiga de tamaño menor,
pero con una sonrisa que vale por dos.

The brown being comes out behind,
it can't reach them, they're already gone,
the balloon took the butterfly to fly away.
and this one was left in solitude.
Then it too left
and returned with better company,
an ant of smaller size,
but with a smile worth two.

No sé de dónde salió la hormiga,
pero se convirtió en amiga,
ahora entre la escalera,
un ser marrón tiene una compañera,
una parcera con antenas.

Así nace la amistad,
en cualquier lugar
y cuando encuentras una de verdad,
la cuidas de más
porque sabes que no hay otra igual.

I don't know where the ant came from,
but it became a friend,
now among the ladder,
a brown being has a companion,
an ant with antennae.
That's how friendship is born,
in any place
and when you find a real one
you take extra care of it,
because you know there is no other like it.
