Un útil globo / A useful balloon

Había un globo en la casa
que se movía cuando el viento pasaba,
pero llegó una mano extraña
y se lo llevó sin decir nada,
sin que lo notarán.

Cuando llegó la dueña del lugar,
se recostó, venía cansada de trabajar
y al globo mirar,
se dió cuenta que no estaba ya
y no sabe quién se lo pudo llevar.

There was a balloon in the house
that moved when the wind blew,
but a strange hand came along
and took it away without saying anything,
without anyone noticing.

When the owner of the house arrived,
she lay down, tired from work,
and when she looked at the balloon,
she realized it was gone
and she doesn't know who could have taken it.

Ella se molestó
y fue en busca de lo que perdió
y cuando de casa salió
vio a su globo y a Celio el ladrón,
que como un parche de ojo lo usó.

Se fue ante aquel ser y lo enfrentó
y el globo le quitó,
Celio quieto se quedó,
es que el pobre un ojo perdió
y con este el hoyo cubrió.

She got upset
and went looking for what she had lost,
when she left the house,
she saw her balloon and Celio the thief,
who was wearing it like an eye patch.

She went up to him and confronted him,
and took the balloon back,
Celio stood still,
because the poor man had lost an eye
and was using the balloon to cover the hole.

Ella se llevó su globo contenta
y vio que Celio seguía en la escena,
esto le dió mucha tristeza
y comprendió con nobleza
que él necesitaba más el globo que ella.

Caminó hasta Celio y el globo le dió
y en su cuerpo lo colocó,
está vez como parche no se usó,
se fue volando con emoción
y ella a su casa volvió.

She happily took her balloon away
and saw that Celio was still there,
this made her very sad,
and she nobly understood
that he needed the balloon more than she did.

She walked over to Celio and gave him the balloon,
placing it on his body,
this time it wasn't used as a patch.
He flew away excitedly,
and she returned home.
