Un suéter olvidado / A forgotten sweater

María iba caminando
con su suéter tejido a mano,
el clima estaba cálido
y se detuvo a descansar un rato.

Se subió sobre una piedra
y se quitó su suéter sin problema,
así se sentiría más fresca
y podría seguir por la senda.

Maria was walking
in her hand-knitted sweater.
The weather was warm,
so she stopped to rest for a while.

She climbed onto a rock
and took off her sweater without any trouble.
That way she would feel cooler
and could continue along the path.

Se marchó con un poco de afán
y dejó el suéter atrás,
una flor se quiso acercar
para la prenda intentar agarrar.

El árbol que estaba al lado le ayudó
y la flor vestida quedó,
se sentía lista para toda ocasión
gracias a un suéter que alguien dejó.

She left in a bit of a hurry
and left her sweater behind,
a flower wanted to come closer
to try to grab the garment.

The tree next to it helped her
and the flower was dressed,
she felt ready for any occasion
thanks to a sweater someone left behind.

Y cuando María regresó,
buscando el suéter que olvidó,
sobre la roca no lo vio
y cuando la mirada giró, lo encontró.

María siguió su camino,
reconoce que en la flor se ve bonito,
en este lugar hace frío
y le servirá más a ella este abrigo.

And when Maria returned,
looking for the sweater she had forgotten,
she didn't see it on the rock,
and when she turned her gaze, she found it.

Maria continued on her way,
recognizing that it looked pretty on the flower,
that it was cold in this place,
and that this coat would be more useful to her.

Es bueno ayudar,
ser empaticos con los demás,
no dejemos atrás
la amabilidad.

It's good to help others,
to be empathetic toward others,
let's not leave behind
kindness.
