Un Poco de Pintura / A Little Paint
De un tarro de pintura clara,
se asoma una criatura rara
es un perro que camina con elegancia
negro y que ahora lleva manchas blancas.
Un chico de cabello largo,
ve al perro pasando
lo alza para bien mirarlo
y luego lo deja seguir su paso.
From a jar of light-colored paint,
a strange creature peeks out
it’s a dog walking with elegance,
black and now covered in white spots.
A boy with long hair
sees the dog passing by
he picks it up to get a good look
and then lets it go on its way.
Aquel chico mira hacia el frente
y el tarro de pintura ve inmediatamente,
camina hacia el, no es indiferente
quiere ver qué es lo que tiene.
Sin miedo al tarro ingresa
y al salir lleva una blanca apariencia,
es calvo, no lleva cabellera
y perdió su apariencia negra.
That boy looks straight ahead,
and the paint can catches his eye right away
he walks toward it, he’s not indifferent
he wants to see what’s inside.
Without fear, he steps into the can,
and when he comes out, he looks white
he’s bald, with no hair,
and he’s lost his dark complexion.
Se va a su casa contento
y llega a mirarse en el espejo
ve que está blanco extremo
y no se siente feliz con esto.
Busca sobre la silla de la sala,
un abrigo de tonalidad cálida,
es rojo y combina bien con su cara
ahora sí está contento con la apariencia lograda.
He heads home feeling happy,
and when he looks in the mirror,
he sees that he’s extremely pale,
and he’s not happy about it.
He looks on the living room chair
for a coat in a warm shade,
it’s red and goes well with his face
now he’s happy with how he looks.
