Un papel con gran corazón / A role with a big heart

Por el suelo,
iba un papel viejo,
sin forma, ni ordenamiento,
era deforme en extremo
y rodaba sin trayecto.

Se detiene al tocar,
una piedra que en el suelo está,
no se mueve, inerte está
y la bolsa siente pesar,
porque es triste sin vida andar.

On the floor,
went an old piece of paper,
without shape or order,
it was deformed in the extreme
and rolled without a path.

It stops when it touches
a stone that lies on the ground,
it does not move, it is inert
and the bag feels regret,
because it is sad without life to walk.

El papel en su desorden,
estira un brazo enorme,
con este dibuja ojos brincones,
con pestañas deformes,
parece con vida, aunque sigue inmóvil.

La bolsa de papel cumplió su misión
y a la piedra un rostro le dió,
al cielo miró con fervor
pidiendo un milagro en esta ocasión
y luego, rodando se marchó.

The paper in its mess,
stretches out a huge arm,
with this it draws eyes with a jump,
with deformed eyelashes,
it seems alive, although it is still motionless.

The paper bag fulfilled its mission
and gave the stone a face,
to the sky it looked with fervor
asking for a miracle on this occasion
and then rolled away.

El milagro nunca ocurrió
y la piedra ahí se quedó,
la lluvia su rostro borró
y las pestañas también se llevó,
dejando la roca como inició.

La bolsa hecha bola deforme,
era demasiado noble,
con un corazón enorme,
qué quiso ayudar a un ser inmóvil
darle vida digna a una roca sin nombre.

The miracle never happened
and the stone remained there,
the rain erased her face
and the eyelashes were also washed away,
leaving the rock as it began.

The bag became a deformed ball,
was too noble,
with a huge heart,
who wanted to help an immobile being
to give dignified life to a nameless rock.
