Un pan y un café / A piece of bread and a cup of coffee
Un café y un pan en la tienda
esperan a que precios tengan
para poder ofertarse para la cena
y dejar satisfecha a la clientela.
Cuando por fin tienen los precios,
no se sienten contentos,
analizan lo que escribieron
y la cuchara dice que borrará eso.
A cup of coffee and a roll at the store
are waiting to find out what the prices will be
so they can be offered for dinner
and keep the customers satisfied.
When they finally get the prices,
they aren't happy,
they review what they wrote down,
and the spoon says it will erase that.
El pan se aproxima a la taza
y la cuchara sobre él salta
ella borra el valor afanada
y luego al vaso regresa con ansias.
El pan es un ser intenso
por eso repite el proceso
y cuando ya no tienen precio,
esperan al cliente perfecto.
The bread approaches the cup,
and the spoon on top of it jumps,
she hurriedly wipes away the price,
and then eagerly returns to the glass.
Bread is an intense being,
that’s why it repeats the process,
and when they no longer have a price,
they wait for the perfect customer.
Llega un pájaro marrón
y al ver qué los alimentos no tienen valor,
toma el pan con amor
para comerlo en la cena de hoy.
El café queda solitario
por eso regresa al pájaro,
con su ala borra la palabra que queda sobrando
y ahora solo hay disponible un café
cálido.
A brown bird arrives,
and seeing that the food has no value,
takes the bread with love
to eat it for dinner tonight.
The coffee is left all alone,
so it returns to the bird,
and with its wing erases the word that’s left over,
and now there’s only one cup of
warm coffee left.
