Un pan ausente /An absent bread

He traído mi merienda,
en una bolsa de papel envuelta,
la dejé sobre la mesa
y la comeré cuando vuelva.

La merienda tenía planes diferentes
y miró que no hubiera nadie al frente,
salió de la bolsa tranquilamente,
era un pan dorado y de olor atrayente.

I brought my snack,
in a wrapped paper bag,
I left it on the table
and I'll eat it when I get back.

The snack had different plans
and made sure there was no one in front of it,
and out of the bag it came quietly,
It was a golden bread with an appealing smell.

El pan la bolsa de papel recogió
y con esta una bola armó,
su forma imito
y luego ha buscar algo se marchó.

Regresó con doble mirada,
una es para la bolsa de papel cercana,
la dejó en la parte alta
y ahora lejos sí se marcha.

The bread picked up the paper bag
and made a ball out of it,
its shape he imitated
and then he went away to look for something.

He returned with a double look,
one is for the nearby paper bag,
he left it on the top
and now far away he leaves.

Cuando llegó a comer,
el pan no sabe bien,
trato de tomarlo con café,
parece que me estafaron esta vez.

Mientras tanto, aquel pan,
que se marchó sin avisar,
tomando el sol está,
y quizás no vuelva jamás.

When he came to eat,
the bread doesn't taste good,
I try to take it with coffee,
it looks like I got ripped off this time.

In the meantime that bread,
who left without warning,
is basking in the sun,

and may never come back.

Esta merienda actuó a su favor
y en un descuido se marchó,
feliz se bronceó bajo el sol
creyendo que su ausencia no se notó.

Pero, yo algo raro noté,
que ese no era el pan que compré,
en la tienda reclamé
y me aseguraron que el pan que compré estaba bien.

This snack acted in his favor
and in an oversight he left,
happily tanned in the sun
believing that his absence was not noticed.

But, I noticed something strange,
that it was not the bread I bought,
I complained at the store
and they assured me that the bread was fine.
