Un loro cautivo / A captive parrot
Me han regalado unas galletas,
de una región cafetera,
tienen una forma bella,
porque un grano de café parecieran.
Me las como sin paciencia
y dejó el empaque sobre la mesa,
suena algo por aquí cerca
y cuando miró, es un loro que revolotea.
I have been given some cookies,
from a coffee region,
they have a beautiful shape,
because they look like a coffee bean.
I eat them without patience
and leave the package on the table,
sounds something around here
and when I look, it is a parrot that flutters.
En aquel empaque colorido
había un loro cautivo
pensé que era un dibujo sencillo
pero resultó ser un ser vivo.
Este animal se levanta
e intenta volar con ganas,
pero, sus alas están atrapadas,
en aquel empaque que la traía dominada.
In that colorful package
there was a captive parrot
I thought it was a simple drawing
but it turned out to be a living being.
This animal gets up
and tries to fly with desire,
but, its wings are trapped,
in that packaging that brought it dominated.
Con paciencia la libero
y su cuerpo del paquete suelto,
le traigo unas alas color intenso
y muy bien se las adhiero.
Así el pájaro puede volar
y el loro se va a vivir en libertad,
los animales cautivos no deben estar
y es mejor verlos en su hábitat natural.
With patience I free her
and her body from the loose package,
I bring her some intense colored wings
and very well I attach them to her.
So the bird can fly
and the parrot goes to live in freedom,
captive animals should not be
and it is better to see them in their natural habitat.
