Un gusano con nariz rosa / A worm with a pink nose

Tras el aguacate se asoma
un gusano de nariz grandota,
es rosada y redonda
un animal con apariencia graciosa
y sin mirada hermosa.

El animal empieza a andar
y explora el lugar,
se acerca dónde la fruta está,
y se sube al plato a mirar,
hasta que se cae de allá.

Peeking out from behind the avocado
is a worm with a big nose,
it’s pink and round,
a funny-looking creature
with no pretty face.

The creature starts to walk
and explores the area,
it approaches where the fruit is,
and climbs onto the plate to look,
until it falls off.

Se levanta y sigue su paseo,
hasta unos frascos pequeños
voltea uno con esfuerzo,
lo tira al suelo
y se acerca a la tapa sin misterio

La abre con habilidad
y se acerca al producto que ahí hay
y cuando sale lleva ojos de verdad,
son semillas que tomó sin preguntar
y con estos feliz se va.

He gets up and continues on his way,
until he comes to some small jars,
he turns one over with some effort,
throws it on the ground,
and approaches the lid without hesitation.

He opens it deftly
and reaches for the contents inside;
and when he pulls them out, they look just like real eyes,
they’re seeds he took without asking,
and with them, he happily goes on his way.

Llega hasta el patio de la casa,
dónde hay materas y plantas
de repente, se detiene, se encanta
con una matera naranja
que lleva flores de coloración variada.

El gusano se trepa emocionado
y se enrosca al lado,
parece una flor más con pétalos raros
y la nariz color rosado,
es el complemento indicado.

He reaches the backyard,
where there are flowerpots and plants,
suddenly, he stops, captivated
by an orange flowerpot
filled with flowers of various colors.

The worm climbs up excitedly
and curls up beside it,
he looks like just another flower with unusual petals
and a pink nose,
the perfect addition.
