Un gato escondido / A hidden cat
Un gato sin forma,
observaba desde las sombras,
era oscuro sin blancas zonas
un animal de sobriedad asombrosa.
De repente hasta la luz salió,
un gran salto dio,
algo lo asustó
y al descubierto quedó.
A shapeless cat,
watched from the shadows,
it was dark with no white patches,
an animal of astonishing sobriety.
Suddenly it came out into the light,
took a great leap,
something frightened it,
and it was exposed.
Cerca había un perro,
marron y de corto pelo,
se acerca, es un ser bueno
y le dice que le ayudará a verse bello.
Toma un peine qué hay cerca,
y lo peina con delicadeza,
luego con su lengua limpio lo deja
y el gato cambia su presencia.
Nearby there was a dog,
brown and short-haired,
he approaches, he is a good creature
and tells him he will help him look beautiful.
He takes a comb that is nearby,
and combs him gently,
then cleans him with his tongue
and the cat changes his appearance.
Tras ese pelo desbaratado,
se escondía un ser mágico,
ya no se oculta en ningún lado
la oscuridad no volverá a tomarlo.
El gato se sienta en la banca
como si de un rey se tratara,
el perro a su lado se para,
orgulloso de su obra terminada.
Behind that messy hair,
a magical being was hiding,
now it hides nowhere,
the darkness will never take it again.
The cat sits on the bench
as if it were a king,
the dog stands beside it,
proud of its finished work.
Because of this, I remember my lovely cat & dogs 🐶
