Un desayuno para la Luna / A breakfast for the Moon

Invité a la Luna a desayunar,
ella llegó muy puntual
y antes de hasta la mesa pasar,
se arregló la corbata para elegante estar.

Es más pequeña de lo que pensaba
en el cielo se ve agrandada,
tampoco brilla, es opaca,
eso sí, sigue siendo magna.

I invited the Moon to breakfast,
she arrived very punctual
and before even passing the table,
she fixed her tie to be elegant.

It is smaller than I thought

Le serví fruta picada,
la Luna comíó emocionada
y cuando se sintió saciada
tomó un pedazo de fruta amarillada.

Con esta comida se marchó,
ni siquiera dijo adiós,
quizás debía trabajar hoy,
la noche necesita su esplendor.

La Luna cruzó la puerta apresurada
y al firmamento opaco llegó afanada
el sol con hambre la esperaba
y ella un trozo de fruta le llevaba.

El sol la comió de inmediato
y sus rayos con fuerza brillaron,
todo se llenó de colores mágicos
gracias a la fruta que la Luna le trajo de regalo.

The Moon crossed the door in a hurry
and to the opaque firmament she arrived eagerly
the sun with hunger was waiting for her
and she brought him a piece of fruit.

The sun ate it immediately
and its rays shone brightly,
everything was filled with magical colors
