Una cabeza sin cuerpo ni nada
permanece en la mesa de la sala,
nadie se asoma a ver qué pasa
ni le llevan comida, es como si sola habitará.

Un día entra un insecto
buscando alimento
se posa en el suelo
y mira la cabeza sin misterio.

A head with no body or anything else
lies on the living room table,
no one stops to see what’s going on,
nor does anyone bring it food, it’s as if it were living there all by itself.

One day, an insect comes in
looking for food,
it lands on the floor
and looks at the head without a second thought.

Se acerca a ella
y se la lleva, sin ningún problema
parece que no pesa,
es una cabeza hueca.

Atraviesan la pradera
hasta que a su guarida llegan
ahí sobre una piedra
la cabeza solitaria deja.

He approaches her
and carries her away, without any trouble,
she seems weightless,
she’s an airhead.

They cross the meadow
until they reach his lair,
where, on a rock,
he sets down the lonely head.

El insecto regresa con un cuerpo
extraño y poco corpulento
parece sacado de algún cuento
y pone la cabeza sobre esto.

La cabeza tiene un nuevo cuerpo
excéntrico y que le queda perfecto,
ya no estará solo, camina contento
y podrá recorrer el mundo por sus propios medios.

The insect returns with a strange,
slender body,
it looks like something out of a fairy tale,
and places its head on this.

The head has a new body,
eccentric and a perfect fit,
it will no longer be alone; it walks happily
and will be able to travel the world without fear
