Un árbol en la taza / A tree in the cup
Me encontré una semilla bella
y quise en un lugar especial ponerla,
mi taza amarilla será perfecta
y en esta la lanzó contenta.
A la taza esto no le gusta,
que pongan dentro cosas sucias,
tras el suceso con premura
su descanso la taza continúa.
I found a beautiful seed
and wanted to put it in a special place,
my yellow cup will be perfect,
and I happily placed it inside.
The cup doesn't like this,
having dirty things put inside it,
after the incident,
the cup continues its rest.
Sin que la taza se de cuenta,
tomo una jarra qué agua lleva,
la agrego sin cautela
para hidratar la semilla bella.
Veo una cerilla que está al lado
y la prendo con cuidado,
pongo fuego en la taza afanado,
porque quiero que ahí crezca algo.
Without the cup noticing,
I take a jug of water,
add it without caution
to hydrate the beautiful seed.
I see a match nearby
and light it carefully,
setting fire to the cup eagerly,
because I want something to grow there.
Llega el atardecer, nada pasa
y cuando amanece sale una rama,
nació algo de la semilla sembrada
un árbol ahora adorna la casa.
El árbol saluda a la taza
y esta se alegra de forma exagerada,
sonríe, se siente afortunada,
no queria la semilla y ahora un árbol la acompaña.
Dusk arrives, nothing happens,
and when dawn breaks, a branch appears,
something grew from the seed that was planted,
and now a tree adorns the house.
The tree greets the cup,
and the cup rejoices exaggeratedly
it smiles, feeling fortunate,
it didn't want the seed, and now a tree accompanies it.
