Un árbol de papel / A paper tree
Viene rodando por la montaña,
un árbol con pocas ramas,
con paciencia se levanta
y se va caminando con calma.
Llega a una puerta solitaria
y entra a esta casa,
ahí muchas hojas halla,
están escritas con letra de carta.
It rolls down the mountain,
a tree with few branches,
patiently it gets up
and walks calmly away.
It reaches a lonely door
and enters this house,
there it finds many leaves,
written with lettering.
El árbol con atención las observa,
no entiende que hacen en la vivienda,
toma una, sin delicadeza
la arruga y se la lleva.
Se va con algo de afán,
por el pavimento lo ven pasar
acarreando una hoja con letras de negra tonalidad,
quien sabe a donde va.
The tree watches them closely,
not understanding what they are doing in the house.
It takes one, without delicacy,
crumples it up, and takes it away.
It leaves with some urgency.
They see it passing by on the pavement,
carrying a leaf with black letters.
Who knows where it is going.
Llega hasta un lugar bello,
con plantas color verde intenso,
la hoja resguarda sin miedo,
entre el oscuro terreno
Después de un rato,
en el terreno crece un árbol,
es de papel con escritos agraciados
y el árbol se siente emocionado.
It reaches a beautiful place,
with bright green plants,
the leaf shelters without fear,
among the dark soil.
After a while,
a tree grows in the soil,
it is made of paper with graceful writing,
and the tree feels excited.

ahora en el jardin se ve,
un árbol con letras, que bello es.
