Un amigo para el té / A friend for tea

Una hormiga llega a la ciudad
y trae una mesa con dos tazas para té tomar
la arrastra con facilidad,
es fuerte y todo lo puede llevar.

Cuando la hormiga se aleja,
una sombra negra se acerca
explora la mesa sin delicadeza
es tosca y se atascada bajo ella.

An ant arrives in the city
and brings a table with two cups for tea,
it drags it easily,
it is strong and can carry anything.

When the ant walks away,
a black shadow approaches,
exploring the table without delicacy,
it is clumsy and gets stuck under it.

Cuando la hormiga con una silla llega,
hay una taza que se cayó de forma violenta
y cuando revisa bajo la mesa
ve una sombra rara y negra.

La trata de sacar
pero ella muy atascada está,
voltea la mesa para de nuevo intentar
y patas arriba la deja para que se pueda marchar.

When the ant with a chair arrives,
there is a cup that fell violently,
and when she looks under the table,
she sees a strange black shadow.

She tries to pull it out,
but it is very stuck,
she turns the table over to try again
and leaves it upside down so she can leave.

En ese instante la sombra se eleva
y volando con destreza se aleja
la hormiga sola se queda,
recoge la mesa y las tazas acomoda con eficiencia.

Una vez está todo listo,
trae otra banca al sitio
se sienta, pero no tiene amigos,
no tiene con quien merendar un domingo.

At that moment, the shadow rises
and flies away skillfully,
the ant remains alone,
clears the table, and efficiently arranges the cups.

Once everything is ready,
it brings another bench to the spot,
sits down, but has no friends,
no one to have Sunday tea with.

Baja a cabeza con nostalgia,
trabaja pero a nadie le agrada
y cuando su testa alza,
ve que la sombra volvió y ocupa la otra banca.

Los dos se sientan a hablar
y el té disfrutan sin afán,
la amistad no se debe forzar,
cuando alguien te quiere ahí siempre estará.

He lowers his head wistfully,
works hard but nobody likes him,
and when he raises his head,
he sees that the shadow has returned and is sitting on the other bench.

The two sit down to talk
and enjoy their tea without haste,
friendship should not be forced;
when someone loves you, they will always be there.
