Estaba viendo televisión
y de la mesa un lápiz cayó,
poca atención presté yo
sé que no hay espectros en la habitación
y seguí viendo la transmisión.

El lápiz no se quedó quieto
y saltó a la mesa sin miedo,
es un elemento diestro
que se posa sin misterio,
mientras yo,la pantalla estoy viendo.

I was watching television
and a pencil fell from the table.
I paid little attention.
I know there are no ghosts in the room,
so I continued watching the broadcast.

The pencil did not stay still
and jumped on the table without fear,
is a dexterous element
that perches without mystery,
while I,the screen I'm watching

Ante tanta insistencia,
tomo el lápiz con cautela
que tal me muerda
o en un sapo me convierta,
los lápices no proceden de esta manera.

Comienzo a hacer trazos,
los lápices son útiles en esos casos
no tengo hojas de color claro
pero el piso es blanco
y no hay tapetes estorbando.

Before so much insistence,
I take the pencil with caution
that maybe it will bite me
or turn me into a toad,
pencils do not proceed in this way.

I begin to make strokes,
pencils are useful in such cases,
I don't have light-colored paper,
but the floor is white
and there are no rugs in the way.

Bosquejo a mi perro viejo,
que al cielo se fue hace un tiempo,
con su robusto cuerpo
y sus orejas color caramelo,
¡extraño a mi viejo!

Y por arte de magia,
del suelo mi perro se levanta,
con sus patas me abraza
y se va volando con sus alas,
se vino a despedir, sabe que me hace falta.

I sketch my old dog,
who went to heaven some time ago,
with his sturdy body
and caramel-colored ears,
how I miss my old friend.

And as if by magic,
my dog rises from the ground,
embraces me with his paws
and flies away on his wings,
he came to say goodbye, he knows I missed him.
